What does a notary public do?

A Notary Public is appointed by the Chief Justice of the Irish Supreme Court to administer oaths and related legal documents.
  • The services of a Notary Public are required for almost all non-Irish legal documents.
  • The signature of clients can be witnessed by a Notary Public and sealed by the Notary Public and it is then acceptable in world wide legal documents.
  • Michael G. Brennan BCL, Solicitor of this firm was appointed a Notary Public in 1989.
  • Mr. Brennan's signature is validated in most foreign embassies and is accepted on all legal documents.
  • The Notary Public is obliged to witness and record details such as name and address and is required to secure evidence of identity.
  • The standard fee for one notarial sealing and witnessing is €50.00.
  • We can seal Bills of Exchange or Bills of Lading or other similar documents.
  • We can organise an apostille pursuant to the Hague Convention with the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs.
